Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Lilly Creek Farm's beef different from other beef?
Our Wagyu beef stands out because of our unique blend of traditional ranching and modern nutrition. Our cattle are born, raised and finished right here in local pastures. Our cattle enjoy both grazing on lush East Texas grass and a specially formulated grain diet, designed to enhance marbling and flavor. This careful approach results in beef that’s not just delicious but also consistently high-quality.
Are your cattle grass-fed or grain-fed?
Our cattle enjoy the best of both worlds! They graze freely on our pastures and are also given a specially formulated grain diet as part of their feeding regimen. This combination ensures optimal health, marbling, and flavor in our beef.
Do you use antibiotics or hormones in your cattle?
Animal welfare is a top priority at Lilly Creek Farm. All processed cattle are hormone and antibiotic free. Our goal is to raise our cattle in the healthiest, most natural way possible.

Do you offer shipping outside of your local delivery area?

How should I store my beef once it arrives?
All our beef comes frozen in vacuum sealed packages except for out ground beef that comes in one pound tubes clipped on both ends. It best to handle packages gently to prevent puncturing packages. Properly stored, beef can maintain its quality in the freezer for up to 12 months.
Any tips for cooking Wagyu beef?
Wagyu beef's rich marbling makes it uniquely flavorful and tender. For steaks, we suggest cooking on a high heat for a short time to achieve a perfect sear without overcooking the interior. Let your steak rest for a few minutes after cooking to ensure maximum juiciness. Check out "The Beef Blog" for recipes and cooking tips tailored to our beef.
